We are Neighbors feeding Neighbors

This has been a busy year for Ruth’s Food Cart.  We have seen an increase of people using the cart this fall, especially during the SNAP-gap, as well as an increase in the cost of filling the cart.  Fortunately, we have also seen an increase in neighbors putting food in the cart.  These food gifts mean that the cart was filled more than once a day on several occasions.  We are grateful to our neighbors.

Our 2026 small goal is to raise $15,000 through Giving Heart’s Day, the estimated amount we will spend buying food to fill the cart in 2026.  Please partner with us by donating the Ruth's Food Cart on Giving Heart's Day.

If we exceed our goal, we want to put more food in the cart each day, establish a better food-safe storage location on our campus, and work with MSUM to establish a social work internship that focuses on connecting excess food with hungry people.
