We are neighbors feeding neighbors
"I was standing outside of my church one day. A kid, about 10, rode his bike to our food cart, grabbed a snack, and rode away. A couple of weeks later, while waiting for the school bus, this same kid ran to the cart, grabbed some food, and then went to the bus stop to eat and wait for the bus. I have no idea what the food situation is in his house, but I am happy to know that there is a source of food for him in our neighborhood." -Pastor Michelle
Ruth's Food Cart is open 24/7. Anyone can get food, without supplying any information. We see both neighborhood families and individuals experiencing homelessness using our cart. We fill it every day. It is emptied every day. Please join us and become a neighbor feeding our neighbors.

How to donate on Giving Hearts Day
February 12th, 2026
1- Open the website givingheartsday.org through the button above or the QR code below.
2- sign-in or create a giving profile
3- Scroll down to the search bar, type in "Ruth's Food Cart," and hit "search"
4- Click on the rainbow comma symbol to enter our giving page
5- Use the "donate dollars" box to make a donation.
6- Feel appreciated!
Our goal is that all of our 2026 donors give, at least, $25.
Every $75 you donate fills the cart for one day and helps us reach our goal of raising $15,000, enough to fill the cart every day for a year, when it is added to the food donations that we receive from community partners like 20 Below, Hornbacher's, and Brady's Cenex.
If we exceed our goal, we want to put more food in the cart each day, establish a better food-safe storage location on our campus, and work with MSUM to establish a social work internship that focuses on connecting excess food with hungry people.
