Our Mission

Honoring Tradition, Seeking Justice and Embracing Diversity, we express Christ's Love through Worship, Word, and Deed

2023 Focus

Sanctuary
Both a place to praise God and a place of safety.

A safe place doesn’t mean that you are never challenged.  It doesn’t mean you get your way all of the time.  It means a place where you won’t be damaged on purpose, where if your needs feel encroached upon, it is safe for you to voice your concern, be heard, and see the system shift to include your needs. This kind of safety might include some written procedures, but it is more about a culture of open-ness and love, a willingness to listen, understand, and shift, as needed. It is about each of us identifying and communicating our boundaries.

Relevance
Why Christianity in an increasingly secular world?  Not just why you come here, but how do you carry your faith in public?

Fundamentals
In a congregational, non-creedal church like ours, the fundamentals of our faith are that Jesus is the head of our church.  Our current moderator (lay leader) identifies these are her fundamentals: radical hospitality, bible study, living with an open heart, seeking justice, reflection & renewal, and room for doubt.  What are your faith fundamentals?  Come share them with us!
